What an interesting weather day – rain turned to snow during the session which made for tough conditions. The crew worked on the ice halfway through the session which improved conditions. Shout out to the great crew for working so hard to improve and maintain the ice quality! ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being […]
ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being the best): 8 The ice was mostly smooth today, with a small “bump” on the back stretch near the 3000-meter start line. It wasn’t super fast but not super slow either.
ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being the best): 8 Smoother, faster ice! Great skating, still a few small rough spots but pretty good.
ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being the best): 7.5 Skating in above freezing temps, what a treat! Once again, the crew brought the ice back after two days of rain to make a mostly smooth surface for skating. There were a few soft spots on the corners but overall really nice ice considering the […]
The crew worked very hard to bring the ice back after a warm, rainy day! It went from looking like sandpaper to pretty smooth and fast! Thanks, Ray and crew for your hard work! ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being the best): 7.5 Smooth, fast(er) ice! As the session went on and the warm […]
ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being the best): 7.5 The ice wasn’t super smooth or fast, but it still had some glide. A few small rough shell ice patches on the back (school) side but overall pretty decent considering the rain showers!
ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being the best): 6.5+ Shell ice was still present due to the temperature and humidity fluctuations over the past week. The snow on the oval made it tough to see bad ice spots. It was cold and windy but as always, fun!!! Thanks to guest reporter Dieter for the […]
ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being the best): 7 The ice was much better than Thursday and Friday after the crew had worked on it for a few days. There were still a few rough spots and the ice was slower than in the morning, but still much better than it could have been.
ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being the best): 8.5 The 12:15 – 2:15 session, while at an orthodox time, boasted AMAZING ice! The crew worked late into the night to fix the shell ice which had accumulated after poor weather conditions Thursday, and their dedication was reflected in the ice quality. Still a few […]
ICE RATING (from 1-10 with 10 being the best): 6 A+ for effort – the crew worked really hard to try to redeem the ice after the temperature fluctuations and rain yesterday, breaking up a lot of shell ice, but it was still rough going due to the snow cover resulting from a snow squall […]
