Today was warmer (high 30s-low 40s) but the ice held up remarkably well considering the nearly-50 skaters racing on top of it…tomorrow’s second (and final) day of the Irving Jaffee Single Distance Championships should be fun!
Ice Rating (from 1-10, with 10 being the best):
RACE (8 am – 12 pm): 6
The ice was softer and slower but luckily no holes.
4 pm – 6 pm: 7
Faster than the morning race ice, a rough patch by the Legends of the Oval board but nothing too serious. As always, “nice to have ice”. 😉
