10 am – 12 pm session: 7.5 Slightly better than yesterday, still a bit soft but slightly faster. Slight snow covering. The edges are very rough but the middle and inside of the track was better. 4 pm – 6 pm: 6 Still quite soft, some rough spots.
I have heard from various sources that tomorrow’s (12/30’s) speed skating session is 10 am – 12 pm and this time will probably continue through the new year. Here’s hoping that’s true! I will post if anything changes or as more information becomes available.

Here is the schedule that was posted in the Olympic Oval box office window: I am not sure how long this holiday schedule will be maintained, I’m guessing until New Year’s Day or the day after. Meanwhile, lots of skaters on the oval today!

The ice became very thin yesterday (it was warm and windy) so therefore the crews are working tonight, putting down water to make more ice. I have been told there will be no ice tomorrow (Saturday), but possibly by Sunday. I will post information as I receive it.
